September 1, 2011 (New Windsor, N.Y.) - 4e Productions announced that the Premiere of “Letters to Daddy: The Musical Key to Bully Free,” will take place at Orange Hall on the Middletown campus of SUNY Orange on October 6, 2011.  Curtains open at 7pm. “Letters to Daddy” is a musical stage production that focuses on empowering children through positive messages and songs in response to challenging social issues, like bullying. In addition to enriching children, the program also enriches the community and encourages organizations throughout the county to work together.

“Orange County is proud to be collaborating with 4e Productions to bring ‘Letters to Daddy’ to the youth of our community,” said Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana. “Through the efforts of Orange County Department of Social Services, Youth Bureau, System of Care, and Probation, as well as many other County departments and community-based not-for-profit organizations, we work diligently to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our youth to help them understand and tackle the challenges of being a young person in today’s social environment,” continued Mr. Diana. “Through ‘Letters to Daddy’ we hope to raise awareness of important issues, like bullying, for young people, their families, and their teachers and help all to understand that each one of us has the power to make choices and take actions that will make a difference. I hope that our Orange County schools will take advantage of the many opportunities to get involved with 4e and the ‘Letters to Daddy’ program.”

The Premiere will be followed by a tour of community performances, including a show at Warwick High School on Thursday October 20 and in Newburgh at Mount St. Mary College on Thursday October 27.  Rehearsals are underway at Acting Out Playhouse in Warwick with a talented group of local children.

“Letters to Daddy” seeks to empower children, build self-esteem, and allow them to relate to their peers. Ultimately, the mission is to enable children to be consciously aware that they have choices, and that their choices, thoughts and actions impact others. Most importantly, “Letters to Daddy” is a proactive, peer-to-peer, solution-based approach to common challenges.

Because of the heightened sensitivity to bullying, 4e Productions and its mission have been recognized and endorsed by Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana and received support from many community organizations such as The Department of Social Services, The Youth Bureau, System of Care, and the Orange County Business Accelerator.
