Kierstin Martin (9th Grade) as ”Caroline Turner”

I have made many promises to myself since I was old enough to realize that who we are and what we do make a difference in the world. I will always be alcohol and drug free. The reason is I have many aspirations for my life and I will achieve the many goals I have set for myself. By being free of these harmful drugs I will be able to think, react and perform effectively. I will always have respect for my body and mind and portray myself as a confidently strong woman. With these goals in place I will be the person that God has envisioned me to be. I will graduate from High School with honors and move on to attend Vassar College. I will perform at the Power House Theater with Meryl Streep, Lisa Kudrow and many other well-known Vassar graduates. I will then move on to Broadway, NY to join the many theater performers. I will play the role of Elphaba in the play Wicked. My journey will continue with marriage and a family. I know that this is the path that has been chosen for me. I want to make people smile and smile along with them. Singing and acting is the journey I intend to take.

The students won’t just learn the arts but learn to have self-confidence and how they can help other people. I have a passion for the performing arts and love to see people feel good about themselves. I will create “Reach for Your Dreams” so everyone can do something they love.

I want these children to experience the joy of horseback riding and the connection that is shared between horses and people. I will continue my passion of singing and strive to become a famous country singer and song writer. I will use my influence and voice to help all people in need. I will live my life to the fullest, helping everyone that I possibly can to do the same!

Later in my career where I start making money, I will donate to no-kill animal shelters across the United States and adopt 4 dogs. I will be successful.

Mady Odell (9th Grade) as “Ariana”

I’m going to change someone’s life. Whether I affect a million people, a thousand people, a hundred people, ten people, or just one person. As long as I walk away from life having changed one individual, I have fulfilled my purpose. I think that’s themost wonderful part about being young–not knowing yourfuture and being able to discover yourself as you journey up to the day when you’ve grown. But whatever I do, if it’s being a musician and reaching people through music and lyrics, or by acting a character that inspires someone’s life, or whether I am a doctor that helps people get well and comforts them in their sickest times, or if I am a social worker that helps people through challenges and through feelings of sadness and times of darkness and despair, there will be a passion behind it. I’m going to put the flame in my heart behind every accomplishment in my life. I don’t need money to change the world. I don’t need resources to change the world. All I need is a strong mind and heart to be me guide through life and to guide others through life and eveything that is needed will be provided. That’s all anyone ever needs to do.

I want to entertain teens and kids of all ages by being on TV. I will be a good role model for them and show them the right way to live their lives. When I reach my 50’s I would like to own a studio for all the arts including, acting, dancing, singing, piano, drawing, and painting. Everyone will be welcome to join and I will teach them to follow their dreams.

Emily Rahl (7th Grade) as ”Emily”

After I graduate from an elite college, I will open a dance studio for the less fortunate and be a dance choreographer. I have been passionately taking dance classes for about 10 years and want to share what I learned with kids, teens or even adults that want to fulfill their dancing dreams. I feel that being in poverty should not stop you from being yourself and chasing your dreams. I believe if you have goals in life, you run after them. Lately, the economy isn’t doing that great and that means people are short on money. I think about all the people who would like to pursue this talent just like me, but just can’t afford it. That is why I want to open a dance studio called “BELIEVE” and my motto would be “reaching for the stars and chasing your dreams” is something all people long for. Once you collected all the stars and caught up with your dreams, no one or nothing will ever stop you from being yourself and living your life. I heard and was inspired by the saying “you have a life, but you might not be living it out.” I will be there for all my students, especially in their time of need like if they are having financial problems, being bullied, family troubles, and anything else they need to get off their mind. I would also like to be an inspirational poet because I think too many people care about what other people think about them, and that they don’t express themselves. My poems will speak to many situations in life, such as getting bullied, imperfection, love/breakups, and mostly about not caring what other people think about you. I will be a positive role model for people to look up to and relate to. We are all different, but really we are all the same.

Joseph Diaz (8th Grade) as “Billy”

After I graduate from school, I will go to college at Full Sail University and become an actor. After finishing college I will travel around to different schools and raise awareness about the disease known as alopecia, because not many people know about this disease and the effects it could have on people diagnosed with it. I will start a charity with the funds donated to finding a cure to this disease. Helping to find a cure to this disease is something I have always hoped to do. I want to campaign against the abuse of animals and children. I believe abuse is morally wrong and animals and children need to be protected. Bullying is a major issue everywhere. Children everyday are being bullied and not many people see the effects bullying could have. I hope to one day end bullying everywhere and mark it as a crime. With bullying labeled as a crime, the number of victims that suffer from bullying everyday will greatly decrease.

Olivia Nicholson (8th Grade) as “ Stacey”

In my lifetime I plan on achieving many great things. When I graduate High School, I will be valedictorian. I will then go to Berkley School of Music and then Yale for their amazing graduate acting program. Once I am done with school, I will move to Los Angeles and become an actress/singer. My passion has always been to be a singer/songwriter who has her own T.V. show and I will achieve that. My songs will inspire others to write or do anything that will help them to express their feelings. I will always be a great role model to aspiring artists.

Alexa Rae Kyles (7th Grade) as “Alexa”

When I grow up, I will...become a professional golfer and an NCA Cheerleader. In my spare time, I will volunteer at an assisted living home for the elderly. Another dream of mine is to become a nurse at St. Jude’s Children Hospital. I will find true happiness with my life by helping the children of the next generation. But, one thing I know for sure is that when I’m older, I will make a difference in the world.

My mother is my soccer coach and I love spending time with her, while I play on an amazing travel team with all my friends as goalie. I will get a Soccer Scholarship in College. I will play lead roles in action films & martial arts films. Although I love martial arts, I also like to dance. I will be a dancer because I love to dance and I’m really good at dancing. Its fun to dance with my friends and family. I will continue to pursue all the things I love to do like singing, acting and dancing. I will be Happy! I WILL BE KIND!

Julia Callaghan (7th Grade) as “Rachel”

I will go to college and become a veterinarian, inspirational singer, an actress, a part time photographer, and do a little dancing. Why I want to go to college is because once you get your full education you can do anything. Why I want to become a veterinarian is because I absolutely love animals and I remember how good it felt when the vet that my family uses got the worms out of my cat’s belly and the thought that I could bring that much joy to people every day and save animals’ lives would be amazing. I want to become an inspirational singer because I love to sing more than you could ever imagine and I know that to do anything in your life you need inspiration. I got my inspiration that led me to do all of these things from my family. My family always encouraged me to sing, telling me how great my voice is and telling me I can be anything I want to be. I know that some people don’t have the amazing support that I do and I want to be their inspiration. I want to become an actress because it lets you be someone nothing like you and it gives you so much confidence getting on stage and, well, acting. Acting lets you be anyone and do anything like a giant game of pretend. I want to become a part time photographer because I love capturing moments and saving memories to look back at and my mom is a photographer and I love watching her work. I want to do a little dancing because dancing is so much fun, great exercise, and you can move your body to the rhythm of music and I’ve never gone one day without music. That is what I will do when I get out of school.

Sarah Savasta (8th Grade) as “Julianna”

After I finish college, I will join the Peace Corps. I want to join the Peace Corps because I want to travel and help underdeveloped countries by training men and women. I want to help Americans understand more about people from different cultures and backgrounds. I also want to help other countries understand more about American culture and background. I want to start my own organization to celebrate troops and what they do for our country. I want people of all ages to sing, speak, dance, or whatever it may be to show troops that we appreciate what they do for us. I do not think that people realize that the families left at home need encouragement while their spouses are defending our country. I admire my aunts and uncles. Two of my uncles have served in the military and had to leave their families for long periods of time. My aunts stayed at home with the kids and took care of everything at the house. One of my uncles even missed the birth of his own child because he was serving over seas. Families like mine and others need support while their spouses and/or parents are away.
